And we are on the roll again! Thanks to everyone who showed up at the gigs in Kozen and Liege. We had loads of fun at both occasions and met some cool people as well. Special thanks go out to Bart Mahlstrom/Hollowtone and Dimi Fungus for having been prepared to stand in at the Liege gig. Sorry you guys weren’t given a chance to show off the fruits of your hard labour. But hey, we are confident it has made you both mentally and emotionally richer human beings. In the next couple of months Ill Fares The Land will focus mainly on writing and rehearsing new songs. During the past few weeks we have been able to speed up the process a bit, and have completed the material for three more new songs. All in all, we are well underway to gather the amount of death metal needed for a new full length album. We will keep you posted on any interesting developments. Cheerz!

Some good news: Jan (guitar) is well recovered from his car accident, so our show @ 11/11 (jc de klinker, Aarschot w/ sludge phenomenon and hell driver) should be no problem. That weekend, Bart (guitar) is coming home from Ireland, so we will be a 5 piece band that evening. IFTL should be on stage around 22.30h. We are looking forward to it, it's been a while for us... hope to see you all in Aarshot...

We have some bad news: due to a car accident last Sunday, Jan (guitar) is not able to play for some while. So we are forced to cancel our show at 'Limburg Luid' next Saturday. The organization is looking for a replacement. Also some shows from Mahlstrom are cancelled because of health problems from Jan and also the other guitarist. Hordes of Devastation is playing at 17.15h at 'Limburg Luid', so hope to see you all...

We want to thank everybody who showed up at Vlamrock. We were a little bit suprised that there were already so many people at 1 o’ clock in the afternoon to see IFTL. We appreciate it and we had a great time!! We will post some new pics as soon as we get them… We also have to announce that Bart Put (guitar) is leaving us for at least 1 year. He has been offered a job in Ireland which he couldn’t refuse. He will spend some weekends here in Belgium and we’ll try to play some shows in those weekends. The other shows, we’ll do with only Jan on guitar and with an adapted setlist. So don’t hesitate if you want to book us for a show, we still will play it fast and brutal. Anyway, we wish Bart all the best!! At September 24th, the third edition of the Limburgian Metalfest will take place in Diepenbeek (zaal Terlogt). Hi folks, time for a little update! The side project of Bart V. and Jan, Mahlstrom, played its first show last weekend. They opened the Kleudde Backyard Metalfest. Despite the early hour (11 in the morning), there were some interested people. They had pretty good reactions afterwards. Roel his first appearance with Hordes of devastation is planned for October 15th at Limburg Luid (JC De Distel, Heusden-Zolder). IFTL will also play at this little festival. For more info, take a look at the ‘shows’ section. The next IFTL show will be at Vlamrock (August 27th, As). We have to play at 1 o’clock, so get up early and support us…

It’s been pretty quiet around IFTL the last month because of some (school-) commitments some of us still have. But now we are quite busy writing new songs. Some other members are also expanding their musical horizons: Bart (drums) and Jan (guitar) are rehearsing hard with their blackmetal band Mahlstrom (also featering Filip and Kristof from The Quiescent (RIP)) for their first gigs at Kleudde fest (13/08) and Limburgian metalfest (24/09). And Roel (vocals) joined the Hordes of Devastation (brutal and fast Death Metal like Krisiun, Nefast, Abhorrence…) where he will play the bass. Howdy! We have some great news: we have a new webmaster. He offered us to do new design and to keep our site updated. An offer we gladly accepted. So from now on our site will be updated on a more regular basis. Questions and suggestions can be mailed to illfares@gmail.com.

We are sorry for the lack of updates on the site. There are many reasons, but the main reason was that there hasn't been any news the past few months. But, we have some now:
1/ We are pleased to announce that we are working with a bassplayer (Nick) for two weeks now. He's learning quite fast and fits in well.
2/ It's official now: our label UXICON has quitted it's activities for various reasons. We're sorry for Burt UXICON and wish him all the luck in the future. Unfortunately this means that we have to find ourselves a new label. That's all for now...

We've done a show with VERMIN and MISLED this weekend. Very cool guys and de Toonzaal is a cool place to play. In one month we'll be sharing the stage again with VERMIN in the Batcave 013 in Tilburg.
